Levine And Wiss is offering to high school and undergraduate students the opportunity to apply for financial support ahead of the upcoming academic year. The Community Impact Scholarship stands to reward students whose community efforts have promoted growth, unity, and positive change.
The team looks forward to awarding one stand-out student with $2,500 to dedicate toward their continued studies. In doing so, the firm hopes to promote continued community service and commitment to improving the lives of others.
Students have until April 15, 2025, to complete their scholarship applications.
Application Requirements
Levine And Wiss’s Community Impact Scholarship invites high school and undergraduate students in all areas of study to apply for financial support. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Students must be enrolled in or accepted at an accredited United States college or university
- Students must have proof of enrollment
- Students must agree to the scholarship’s terms and conditions
- Students must submit all applicable scholarship materials by the scholarship’s deadline
Application Process
A qualifying student may write an essay between 500 and 800 words on The Community Impact Scholarship’s topic of choice to qualify for the scholarship award. Students may submit the essay through the application form along with the proof of enrollment to complete the application process.
Levine And Wiss will not consider applications submitted without all required materials.
Scholarship Essay Topic
To qualify for The Community Impact Scholarship, Levine And Wiss invite students to write essays between 500 and 800 words describing their community involvement. The firm specifically wants students to go into detail about their:
- Communities – what groups are you actively involved with, and how have you dedicated your time to their betterment?
- Motivations – what ideas or connections drove you to work within a specific community?
- Impact – please share specific examples of how your community service has impacted in-need communities.
- Challenges – go into detail about any obstacles that made it difficult for you to connect to a community or complete your service.
- Future goals – how do you plan to continue contributing to an in-need community in the years to come?
Students’ submissions must be original and written by the applicant. Please do not use AI to complete a scholarship essay. Students must also include their name, contact information, and the college they plan to attend, along with their essays. If applicable, please include a bibliography and citations.
The scholarship selection committee with Levine And Wiss will evaluate scholarship essays based on their clarity of thought, demonstrable community service, depth, and articulation of a student’s future goals.
Scholarship Deadline
Students have until April 15, 2025, to complete and submit their scholarship applications. Levine And Wiss will not consider The Community Impact Scholarship applications submitted after this deadline passes. Likewise, the firm cannot consider applications submitted with incomplete essays.
We ask that neither students nor their parents reach out to the firm for updates about a student’s application. The scholarship selection committee reserves between one and three months to choose a winner. Upon selecting a winner, a representative will contact the student and their family.
Terms and Conditions
All applicants to this scholarship must meet the eligibility requirements as laid out on the scholarship application page, including:
- Applicant must be enrolled at a college or university
- Applicant must be at least 18 years old at the age of enrollment
- Applicant must have residency in the United States
- Applicant must be in good academic standing
- Applicant must submit some personal information, including name, contact information, and academic information.
- Applicant must author an original essay/video on the scholarship essay topic provided.
Anyone who meets the following conditions is NOT eligible to apply:
- Employees or children of employees of Levine And Wiss
- Past recipients of The Community Impact Scholarship
- Applicants who are unable/unwilling to be interviewed by a representative of Levine And Wiss if they were to be awarded a scholarship.
- Applicants who submit the same essay/video for multiple scholarships or for multiple years in a row
Selection & Award Notification Process
Levine And Wiss will not consider scholarship applications submitted after the deadline expires. After the deadline passes, all qualifying applicants will undergo an assessment from the scholarship selection committee. Age, race, religion, gender, national origin, familial status, or other protected classes will have no influence on the committee’s decision.
We ask that neither students nor their families reach out to the law firm with questions about their scholarship applications at this time. We cannot provide students with updates on the status of their applications.
Our team will only communicate with the winner of The Community Impact Scholarship. After emailing the winner and confirming their acceptance of the award, we will announce the winner’s name and accomplishments through our website. We will then directly mail the student’s winnings to their university.
